September Restart!

I never really understood the phrase ‘September restart’ until I had a child of school age. At the minute my little boy is six years old and has just gone in to year 2. He is brilliant to be around and we wanted to give him a great summer, but the only way that could happen is if something gave somewhere else.

Now. . . I am fortunate that I own and work in a gym, that meant my training didn’t suffer too much. The sacrifice I made was in my work life and now i’m having to catch that back up to get in front so I don’t have to work too much over xmas. My point is it doesn’t matter what you had to sacrifice, chances are you’re now playing catch up.

They best thing I did was get in front of the curve with my nutrition, I started my ‘summer shred’ pretty early (around May) that meant whilst I was still in a good work flow I could add better habits in to my every day life. I made a pretty good change and then by the time summer came round it was easier to maintain and not just fall off the wagon.

With that in mind it makes perfect sense to start training or dieting towards your long term goals now!

Making 2027 your ‘best year yet’ is never going to work. Just get back in to a routine and then add something positive in. Could be a daily walk, maybe a new class, a gym session or something as simple as 10 press ups, 10 squats and 10 lunges every morning.

What i’m saying is don’t let the fact we are in the back third of the year continue to delay your start. If you were to do three months consistent work now then you would be able to take time away from training and dieting over xmas knowing you can pick up right where you left off and contrary to popular belief you wouldn’t be back to square one. Your body remembers, you just have to convince your brain haha! But a couple sessions back and you would be fine.

It’s so easy to wait for the perfect time to start, but it never really comes. 80% of ‘new year, new me’ gym goers don’t get past 5 months. The majority of our members having been coming here for years having tried all kinds of gyms and programs. Ultimately this is a fun place to be in a great setting.

We would like to invite you down for a free consultation/session and see what we can do to help you. It’s not a sales meeting, we hate sales as much as people hate being sold to. If you enjoy it and want to get onboard then great. If we aren’t for you that’s fine as well, we might now somewhere that could be a better fit.

We specialise in beginners and turn them in to competent lifters!

Would be great to hear from you!
